Bob Perry, President and Founder of Rolling Strong
Recognized as the Trucker Trainer™ by professional drivers nationwide, Bob brings a unique perspective to the transportation industry. Bob is the son and brother of career drivers – both owner-operators for the last 70-years, and has personally devoted his entire career to the health, wellness, and fitness industry.
Bob has served as Chair of the American Trucking Associations’ Safety Management Council’s Health & Wellness Working Group for the last 3 years and Vice Chair for 2 years before elected to Chair.
Bob is also a public member of the Medical Review Board. He often speaks at healthcare conferences including the Retail Health Clinics Congress, has been featured in the New York Times, Drug Store News, American Road Magazine, WSJ, NPR, ABC National Radio hundreds of daily newspapers and has appeared on television news shows across the nation, writes a health and wellness column for Challenge Magazine, hosts a monthly radio segment on RedEye Radio, and is often an invited guest on Sirius radio shows.
As of recent Bob has been asked to join the America Bus Association wellness council to bring driver wellness solutions to the professional bus driver.
Glyn Carver, Chairman of the Board
After a lifetime of working with start-up companies in multiple industries, Carver has joined Rolling Strong to assist the team in adapting to the fast-paced growth that is now underway.
His executive experience in the automotive, material handling, plastics, defense and health IT sectors is already proving invaluable and his longstanding ability to develop teaming relationships with major companies, both inside and outside the transportation sector, will generate significant strategic advantages for the company.
Sean Mohr, Executive Vice President
Sean Mohr began his path towards the wellness industry as a helicopter rescue swimmer in the US Navy. From there he went on to study biology and business in college.
After a brief stint as a bartender in Las Vegas, he entered the major medical sales field and specialized in self funded insurance plans and corporate wellness programs.
He has designed and outfitted hundreds of fitness facilities over the years including some very large trucking and transport companies. This led to an increasing awareness of the crisis situation in the trucking industry; without healthy drivers, America stops running.
Joni Allen, Operations Director
Joni serves as the Operations Director for Rolling Strong as well as Regional Health Coach. She has a Bachelor of Science from Clemson University with advanced studies in health and nutrition and behavior change methodology. She also earned credentials as a Certified Health Technology Specialist through A.H.I.M.A. (American Health Information Management Association).
Joni’s desire to be in the health and wellness industry began as a personal trainer when her 4 children were small. She went back to school to advance her studies in health and nutrition allowing her to advance to the corporate realm of Wellness that included coaching programs in Nutrition, Exercise, Weight Management, Diabetes Lifestyle, Heart Health, Stress Management and Tobacco Cessation for various companies.
Her passion and dedication was exemplified when she achieved mastery zone level coaching and national recognition from the corporate medical director for exceptional client outcomes.
Having over ten years experience in Wellness Coaching, Joni works cross-functionally with the team to refine processes and procedures as well as oversee initiatives to improve the client experience.
Tanya Jolliffe, National Director of Client Engagement, Recruitment and Training
Tanya began her career with Rolling Strong as a CDL Wellness Coach and Account Manager and now serves as the Rolling Strong National Director of Client Engagement, Recruitment and Training. She earned her dietetics degree and completed her dietetic internship in Cincinnati, Ohio. Before working with professional drivers, Tanya served as a clinical dietitian in several area hospitals where she focused on therapeutic nutrition and education for patients with end stage organ disease and transplantation.
Later in her career she served as an online health and wellness coach and authored hundreds of educational articles and blog posts. Tanya has more than 25 years of nutrition education experience, is a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators and has a passion for helping people live their best life by taking small steps to reach their health goals.
Tanya spent much of her teen and young adult life in competitive athletics including collegiate level volleyball. She recently was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also has been the Greenville High School girls high jump record holder in Greenville, Ohio since 1981and is a member of their Athletic Hall of Fame for her three sport success during high school.
Today, Tanya continues to stay active and strives to make her life an adventure. On the home front, Tanya and her husband enjoy hanging out with their children, working on home improvement projects and serving in their community through a variety of volunteer activities.
Mary Zirk, Regional Account Director
Mary has devoted her career to fitness and nutrition. She received her License in Practical Nursing (LPN) in 2000 and her undergraduate degree from Dalton State in Business Management and Marketing in 2006 and most recently worked as the Marketing Director for The Rush Fitness Center and prior to that as a Fitness Manager at Peak Fitness.
She has continued her studies in fitness and nutrition with in the area of Fitness and Nutrition, specifically sports nutrition, stress management and leadership skills.
She also received training at ACE-ACFE- for advance personal training working as a master practitioner in weight training for women, group fitness, senior fitness as well as performance weight training and Pilates. She has also received the following training, ISSA-cec (Integrated and Reactive Neuromuscular Training) and IFPA-cec (Weight Training for Weight Loss).
Jenna Rogers, Administrative Manager
Jenna became interested in the fitness world as a young kid participating in several youth sports including basketball, dance, track, and football. She took her passion to California State University of Fresno where she earned a BS degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Administration. Throughout her college years she walked on to and competed in three D1 NCAA sports; Track and Field, Cross Country, and Lacrosse. She was also an intern for the Fresno State Football team throughout the duration of her studies.
She also has a passion for leadership, leading her to run for several offices in high school and college where she was successfully elected as Vice President of the Student Body at JW North High School, and On Housing Living President at Fresno State. After graduating college, she worked as a fitness coach for UFC Gym, where she had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of individuals with different fitness levels and fitness goals.
She has also held a position as a manager of a fitness facility designed for the elderly under Medicare benefits. While working for Medicare she was able to experience the struggles of opening and running a new facility while training individuals with high safety risks due to older age and extensive medical history.
Jenna’s ultimate goal is to make a footprint in the fitness world and to educate as many people as possible of the relationship between wellness and increased quality of life.
Kristy Beswick, Account Manager and CDL Wellness Coach
Kristy has been a CDL wellness coach for Rolling Strong since 2014. She received her M.S in Exercise Physiology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 and her B.S. from Slippery Rock University in 2012. Working with a company like Rolling Strong has been rewarding for her because she has learned about living a life on the road and how challenging that life can be for a truck/bus driver.
Her role as a telephonic wellness coach has provided her with many wonderful experiences as she has helped people to learn and value the importance of health and well-being. She loves being able to coach a challenging population because their health and wellness resourses are so limited while on the road.
Lorrie Beshirs, Account Manager and Regional CDL Wellness Coach
Lorrie has over 20+ years of experience in the health and fitness field. She began her career in the fitness industry as the owner and instructor of a mobile gymnastics business where she could share her love of physical fitness with youth.
Lorrie’s passion and love of fitness motivated her to pursue a B.S. in Kinesiology from Texas A&M-Commerce. During her time at college she facilitated and lead exercises for a charity program, called “Community Seeds”. This was a great opportunity to give back to the community and volunteer to help educate others about food, exercise and wellness.
Lorrie is married and the proud mother of one daughter (Hook’Em Horns). Lorrie’s daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes ten years ago. Over the next several years, while working with nutritional experts at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, she learned the impact proper diet has on improved quality of life.
Combining her educational background and real life experience, Lorrie is passionate about sharing her knowledge with America’s drivers. Professional drivers are the backbone of our economy and we need to keep them Rolling Strong!
Her motto to live by is…”Change doesn’t happen over night”. Create lifestyle changes that you can live with for the rest of your life.
Ciara Toves, Account Manager and Regional CDL Wellness Coach
Ciara is a student at California State University of Fullerton. She is earning her degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science. In high school she was a member and captain of her competition cheer squad. From here she learned leadership skills and the importance of working together to achieve a goal. She also joined the track and field team her junior year and was involved in a hip-hop dance crew. She took pride in performing for school events.
After high school she found a career as a dance and cheer instructor for both Villegas Middle School and School of the Arts. Afterwards she become an employee at a senior center working as their Pilates instructor as well as their Latin fitness dance instructor.
Now she is apart of the Rolling Strong team where she makes it her mission to help CDL drivers obtain a healthier lifestyle. She is excited to be apart of a growing company that is the first to reach out to the trucking industry. She believes that it is because of these drivers that we have the many things we do today so being a health coach in Rolling Strong is her way of giving back to them.
She is currently in her fourth year of college and is looking forward to dedicating her life to encouraging health and wellness.
Jonathon Witherspoon, Chief Technology Officer
Jonathon Witherspoon has found himself on the cutting edge of business and technology for over 20 years. As a NASA Scholar he designed, planned, and implemented one of the first distant learning systems on the Internet for higher education. His knowledge as a top developer in technology afforded him a nomination to the famed Discover Award.
Since the early 90’s Jonathon has utilized technology and business strategies to push outside the box and bring companies to the forefront of strategic profitability. His knowledge in business law, technology, strategic planning, corporate structure, and design has put him in a unique position to help any number of facets of Rolling Strong’s executive team and projects.
He has accomplishments in several industries including, but not limited to: Broadcasting, Aviation, Technology, Healthcare, Entertainment, and Consulting.
Damon Childs, VP Network and Information Systems
Damon Childs has more than 20 years experience as a programmer, network architect and systems designer. He is accredited as a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), certified in Cisco Networks, and has tremendous experience in network architecture. His proficiencies include CGI, HTML, SQL, Bash Shell Scripting, Visual Basis, C++, UNIX (Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, BSDi, digital UNIX (now true 64), and SUN), All Windows OS (Windows NT to Windows 8), Mac OS X, iOS (iPhone – iPad Development), Android OS Development, Perl, and PHP, as well as fluency in at least a dozen more operating systems and languages, such as Pascal, Assembly, Fortran, JAVA script, JAVA, Python, and CGI. One of Damon’s fortes is unique network design, security, and implementation.
During his career steps in technology he was a Senior System/Network Administrator at the University of Nebraska. He was able to design and complete an integrated security system, implement a fully switched network, and link the library systems to the campus fiber backbone enabling approximately 12 million people high-speed access to the library catalogues and website. He also assisted in the creation of the University’s library on-line research technology, which won a National Library Association Gale Group Award.
His server design has afforded universities and corporations alike the ability to run unimpeded for several years. Damon is also proficient in tech support, customer service, and problem solving, allowing him to subsequently develop tech support centers within larger companies.
Damon oversees all aspects of research and development. He is responsible for the servers, programmers, network, building and system security, allocation and purchase of computer hardware and technology, ongoing technology training, penetration and security testing, and creating external and internal help desks.
