Cortney has worked in corporate wellness strategies/ health and wellness coaching for a preventive care clinic for the past six years. She has coached numerous clients who were at risk or suffering from chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, clinical obesity, fatty liver disease, and chronic pain with empathetic and encouraging coaching methods. Helping to support her clients while they design their own SMART goals and getting to see them achieve their goals is, hands down, her favorite part of being a health coach!
She has a B.S.Ed. in Health Promotion and Lifestyle Management as well as a MS in Nutrition with a concentration in Environmental Nutrition from the University of Memphis (Go Tigers!). Though nutrition is one of her biggest passions, she prefers a more rounded approach to wellness which includes other lifestyle factors such as physical activity, stress management, healthy sleep habits, addiction issues, and of course nutrition and proper hydration.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, cheering on her beloved UofM Tigers, riding her horse, and traveling with her two daughters for volleyball.
