Rolling Strong CDL Wellness Coaches are an elite team of professional coaches and educators in the transportation industry. We help American’s Drivers be ready for and pass their DOT physical exams as well as helping them improve their overall health and wellness. Our CDL Wellness Coaches provide face-to-face and/or telephonic education to professional drivers regarding many dimensions of wellness. You will work with professional drivers and others to provide behavior modification plans and strategic coaching to promote and support better health. Knowledge and experience in behavior modification and short term goal setting coaching related to weight management, stress management, smoking cessation, healthy eating, and physical activity is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one coaching
  • Support the wellness program model: health screening events, assisting with bio-metric screenings, and wellness education sessions
  • Support client onsite wellness program initiatives, onsite health challenges and events, promote participation, etc.
  • Provide education and wellness resources to members
  • Maintain communication with program supervisor on a regular basis via telephone and email
  • Efficient and accurate documentation of interactions and interventions
    Ability to be on time and meet deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two or more years of experience in a health and wellness field. Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in health education, health promotion, or related field preferred.
  • Proven administrative skills, computer data entry, software application experience, Microsoft Office and/or Mac applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Understanding how diet and exercise contribute to the management of various chronic diseases.
  • Knowledge and experience working with chronic health conditions through lifestyle behavior change: High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Stress, Sleep Apnea
    Outgoing, energetic and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Motivational interviewing and active listening skills for goal setting
  • Self-starter capabilities as well as teamwork
  • Awareness of Health Information Privacy and Confidentiality
  • Self-directness and the ability to succeed in an independent role
  • Technical ability using Smartphone apps, webforms, software applications etc.
  • Must be able to work varied hours, including weekends and overtime to meet customer product availability
  • Travel will be required for this position, including but not limited to overnight or multi-night travel with assigned or designated area
  • Professional appearance and an ability to communicate directly with clients
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record if driving under the company’s insurance policy
